Bob Summerrill passed away on Wednesday. If you didn’t know Bob personally, you’ve heard about him. Bob was a driving force in the original formation of the POA in 1990. He was instrumental in organizing the POA and in the purchase of what is now our fleet of spray boats and the harvester. He remained active in the POA throughout his life. Those of you who are active in fleet operations are aware of the work that he’s done over time. You may not be aware of his work assisting with volunteer recruitment, neighborhood watch, the annual invoicing process, disclosure mailings, and a host of other work.
From a personal standpoint, Bob was the guy who introduced me to the neighborhood, filled me in on the POA’s history, and ultimately encouraged me to sit on the POA Board. I’ll miss him. In fact, we all will.
